Ellen trained in various massage therapies, first as an aromatherapist and later in 1988 in sports remedial massage. In 1995 she became a tutor for the SEED Institute (aromatherapy, remedial massage and anatomy and physiology). She travelled to Uganda with The Aids Support Organisation and while there, taught aromatherapy, anatomy and physiology.
In 1996 she obtained an NVQ 730 – Teaching and Assessing before qualifying the next year as a Bowtech practitioner. In 2000 she became UK co-ordinator for Ossie and Elaine Rentsch from Australia helping to organise their UK teaching tours. Invited to become an instructor, she qualified in 2002, became a senior instructor two years later and subsequently taught Bowen in Denmark and Ireland as well as the UK.
A member of the Bowen Training UK teacher training panel since its inception, Ellen has also held the role of chairman, vice-chairman and treasurer while managing her own successful clinic in Farnborough for 35 years.
“My practice is now purely Bowtech Bowen,” she said. “I am sure Bowen will go on changing many lives throughout the world and I am very proud to be part of this truly wonderful therapy.”
